The bottom film is heated and formed in the forming station. The formed trays are transported forward. Products are loaded into the trays in the loading area. The top film is unwound from the roll. The filled packages are sealed (vacuum, MAP, or SKIN packaging). The packages are cross-cut. The packages are longitudinally cut. The finished packages are discharged for further processing, such as metal detection and/or labelling. How Vacuum Skin Packaging (SKIN) Works In vacuum skin packaging, the product is placed on a plastic tray. A specially developed skin film is heated and tightly vacuum-sealed around the product, creating a "second skin."
