This enables feeding in long lengths of 6 meters or even longer. As a result, the machine can process all the wood, including longer lengths, and use it all (except for the defects) for the jointed end-product. This way, there is no good wood turned into short pieces of scrap. Where other finger jointers focus on re-using short pieces of scrap wood, the Marinus eliminates the production of scrap wood.
