Description
The BA W02-22 is a horizontal, twin-spindle machining center. Mainly used for 4- and 5-axis machining of small non-ferrous metal workpieces.
The linear and torque motors of the feed axes guarantee with a maximum workpiece accuracy, the highest possible dynamics and very short non-productive times.
In order to ensure loading and unloading in parallel to the machining time, the BA W02 is equipped with a double swivel trunnion
Linear motors
The use of linear motors in the feed axes X, Y and Z makes it possible to achieve speeds of 120 m/min (X- and Y-axis) and accelerations up to 22 m/s² (Z-axis).
Linear motors have significant advantages over conventional drives with ball screws in terms of energy, wear and noise emissions. Three-phase synchronous motors are used in the BA W02-22.

HSK A40, 25,000 rpm:
This synchronous motor spindle features high dynamics. It has a core spindle with a very low mass moment of inertia.
This allows for a very short run-up time to a maximum speed of 25,000 rpm with a constant high torque. This results in a consistently short chip-to-chip time over a speed range up to 10,000 rpm and best times for thread cutting.
