The straightening machine is prepared for the particular type of material by interchangeable rounded spacer elements. The replacement of the 10 inserts is done manually by simply pushing them into the holding grooves.
The scope of delivery includes basic equipment for one profile. The program for the respective profile is then called up on the monitor. The monitor shows the ideal line and, in addition, an ascending and descending millimeter scale with 0.5 mm lines. The profile to be straightened is now placed on the left side of the table, pushed against a holder and clamped with a quick-clamping device. Both the holder and the quick-clamping device are mounted on a clamping plate for quick adjustment. This clamping plate moves on a linear guide from left to right and vice versa. Transport is by a chain drive and a servo motor. The movement is triggered by a joystick on the control panel.
After the profile has been clamped, the operator moves the clamping platen into the press using the joystick. The travel speed is up to 100 mm per second, but can be continuously adjusted down to 10 mm per second. To do this, it is sufficient to pull the lever of the control system slightly less. A high-resolution camera now shows the profile in the press. The operator sees exactly the deviation from the ideal line. Depending on the need, he now pushes or pulls the profile to the desired accuracy. He then continues to move slowly through the press, seeing in detail on the monitor whether the profile is now straight.
