The machine features 36 vertical-flex ring hammers distributed across 4 secondary shafts, providing 2 rings per main guide plate. When the rotor spins, centrifugal force drives these rings into an outward position. When feed material is introduced, the rings dynamically retract between the rotor plates to absorb impact, returning to their outward position once the material passes.
