The Master brings grinding to the point. It embodies the essence of our 75 years of experience in grinding technology. This means that it combines all the features essential for the fast, reliable production of perfect surfaces right out of the box. Nothing more, nothing less. The core model, the Kündig Master, is equipped with a calibration roller and a sanding pad unit and features a proven design that guarantees decades of high sanding precision – and all this across the generous working width of 1350 mm. A control unit is also on board, which quickly and easily achieves the desired result.
The Sanding Units – Proven Combination The sanding units rely on the proven combination of calibration roller and sanding pad. For secure workpiece guidance, a parallel spring-loaded steel pressure roller is located at the machine inlet, and rubber pressure rollers are located between the sanding units. Calibration Unit (R): The calibration unit is a grooved rubber contact roller of proven hardness. It is ideally suited for calibration tasks, even with high chip removal rates if necessary. The level of the contact roller is continuously adjustable to compensate for the thickness of the abrasive grain. Segmented sanding pad (E): With the E-Plus configuration, the fine sanding unit features a segmented, electronically controlled sanding pad with a scanning width of 35 mm instead of the pneumatic version. This allows for even more precise fine sanding in the edge area of the workpieces. The edge pressure of the sanding segments is automatically controlled, but can also be precisely adjusted on the touchscreen to more precisely influence the sanding around the workpiece edges. Changing the graphite sliding coating is also quick and easy.

Top adjustment: For over three decades, we have equipped our machines exclusively with top adjustment. Why? While more complex in design than table adjustment, it is also superior in many respects. The machine can handle heavier workpieces, maintains its precision more reliably, and offers the advantage of a constant working height.
Workpiece dimensions: The upper section, i.e., the through-hole, is motorized and can be finely adjusted via a touchscreen. The maximum through-hole height is 160 mm. With a working width of 1350 mm, the Kündig Master offers a generous, tried-and-tested standard size.
