This system addresses the key process steps that define semi-moist product quality and handling: stable solids dosing into the extruder, controlled shaping and cutting, as well as staged cooling to stabilize texture and reduce sticking or deformation before packaging or further processing. The extruder is of twin-screw design and has achieved production capacities of up to 150 kg/h, depending on recipe and configuration. Product shaping is highly flexible and can be adapted to a variety of product formats; it is suitable for dental sticks, hearts, bones, sticks, strips, and other geometries depending on the die/forming set and cutter configuration.
