The load-bearing structure consists of a particularly robust, monolithic steel base, heavily ribbed and highly stiffened; the extra-wide support was specially designed to give the machine maximum stability, ensuring lasting precision regardless of operating conditions—with no need for floor anchoring. The base provides a large, solid support for the moving gantry: the working unit is thus equipped with a balanced, stable, and resilient support capable of handling the highest loads, ensuring top-quality performance and greater accuracy.
The moving gantry is made from a robust single piece anchored to the base, sliding along top-quality prismatic guides with recirculating ball carriages. The working unit is attached and moves along the Y and Z axes on prismatic guides with recirculating ball carriages. Movement of the lower carriage (X-axis) and the working unit along the moving carriage (Y-axis) is enabled by rack-and-pinion transmission with helical teeth. This design results in greater tooth-on-tooth engagement, delivering higher acceleration and greater speed along the X and Y axes. The specially designed helical gearing ensures reduced wear on mechanical components and quieter operation.
The vertical Z-axis is driven by a ball screw, ensuring perfect balance with dynamic loads and smooth acceleration and deceleration. The main milling unit is directly coupled to the Z-axis carriage for maximum finishing quality.
