The solid PUR adhesive, wrapped in aluminum foil, is placed into the tank. The adhesive is gently melted as needed. A glue reservoir is located beneath the tank, holding up to 0.7 kg of liquid adhesive. From there, the adhesive is conveyed via a gear pump, through a FE-MA-TECH® hot-melt hose and heated application head (valve) into the application units (IMA, Homag, etc.). The system is completely airtight, allowing the adhesive to remain in the unit for several months when used properly.
