An air cushion on the underside of the columns ensures that the columns move smoothly on the measuring plate. Powerful magnets block the column as soon as the air supply decreases. The measuring software guides a gripper, which is attached to the quill of the measuring machine, to the correct position. This enables the operator to quickly place the column at the calculated set point. A wide selection of interchangeable support and clamping modules allows the configuration of specific referencing modules for each clamping position.
