This micronizer is perfect to pulverize different coarse products down to a finer powder and within different industries where micronization might be needed, such as minerals, chemicals, food, pharma, cosmetics, recycling, etc.
This grinder can be used for the pre-cut of different materials. It is able to process coarse products up to approx. 3 Mohs´ hardness by reaching medium to fine particles with end-product fineness values between d97 150 to 850 microns (µm) top size (product dependent) at the lowest possible energy consumption. The turbo mill can reach this wide final product range thanks to a variety of easily interchangeable grinding tools such as pin disc, plate beater, beater disc or pendulum beater. Certain grinding tools can operate together with different grinding tracks (liners), sieves or a combination of both, to achieve the desired fineness. This allows the same machine to process many different products such as fibrous roots or spices to plastics, granulated chemicals or mineral products.
The comminution takes place inside the grinding chamber where the rotor plate fitted with grinding tools impacts and projects the particles against the grinding track or sieve (if fitted) reducing their size. The process gas then transports the fines to the mill outlet towards the next stage, normally the filter. Sometimes a cyclone is installed between the mill and filter or even a secondary air classifier. Thanks to the required process air volume, reduced temperature increase during grinding is to be expected compared to other granulation and crushing technologies. Adjusting the final particle size distribution can be easily done by changing different parameters, such as the speed of the grinding rotor or disc, the type of grinding tool and liner, air volume, feeding rate, etc.

It is able to process coarse products up to approx. 3 Mohs´ hardness by reaching medium to fine particles with end-product fineness values between d97 150 to 850 microns (µm) top size (product dependent) at the lowest possible energy consumption. The turbo mill can reach this wide final product range thanks to a variety of easily interchangeable grinding tools such as pin disc, plate beater, beater disc or pendulum beater. Certain grinding tools can operate together with different grinding tracks (liners), sieves or a combination of both, to achieve the desired fineness. This allows the same machine to process many different products such as fibrous roots or spices to plastics, granulated chemicals or mineral products. The comminution takes place inside the grinding chamber where the rotor plate fitted with grinding tools impacts and projects the particles against the grinding track or sieve (if fitted) reducing their size.
